Willington Marina

Advanced Roofing supplied Roofing Services and Materials for the highly prestigious development at Willington Marina, named now as Mercia Marina. A very technically challenging project with tight time constraints and a due to its location and setting the quality had to be absolutely top class.

We achieved everything and more that was asked of us and the beautiful building is testimony to our trades people.

The Boardwalk at Mercia Marina has been named Britain’s Best Small Commercial Building at the Grand Final of the LABC Building Excellence Awards – one of the most prestigious events in the building industry’s calendar.

The Marina project demonstrates the scale of works we can take on and deliver in style.  This project is an excellent example of how a building can reflect the environmental context in which it is located.

Pershore Abbey Restoration Works

Client issue was the grand old Abbey of Anglo Saxon design, built in 672, was leaking badly.  We did a survey , observed and listened regarding its Heritage, we made recommendation’s and proposed solution.

The works involved removing with care every single 600-year-old slate tile, then cleaning and refurbishing each single tile to enable new fixings to secure the old tiles back in place.

We had to Strip away the ancient timbers and clean areas in preparation for new timbers and water tight membrane.

We refitted the new water tight system using modern timbers and breathable lightweight membrane, dressed in new Leadwork and then repositioned all the old tiles and secured them back in place.

The end solution is Centuries of Heritage protected with no visual changes and the peace of mind that a new modern water tight system is beneath it guaranteeing years of future life

Contract construction on new housing developments is more complex than just a one-off build, firstly when we bid for a site, we are committing to complete every single house on that site, usually between 40 and 500 Homes.
When chosen we have to work extremely closely with the client in the planning stages to ensure we meet every deadline placed. This means meticulously scheduling in materials and trades people for each plot.
The key to sucess is to get a top-quality Roof constructed quickly by highly trained operatives in order for other trades to carry out their work safely and in dry conditions.  Health & Safety is a critical part of our business,  we have nationally recognised accreditation , systems and procedures in place that are regulated and audited by one of the UK’s leading H&S consultants.

When Advanced Roofing is chosen to work on older properties and period homes, we always work hand in hand with the developer. We understand that constructing a quality new roof on an older building is timelier, often things change because of age and different solutions have to be worked through. Matching old and new in itself is challenging and Advanced Roofing have top class trades people that can deliver real quality in this sector of construction.

Repairs & Maintenance

Advanced Roofing carry out repairs and maintenance to tiled roofs, we cover the smallest slipped or broken tile to complete full strip and re-tiles, storm damage and general leaks.

We also repoint chimneys, provide leadwork solutions, and generally tidy up and make good an old, tired roof.
